Meet Eric Garcia McKinley
As Director of Learning and Evaluation, Eric supports partners at every step of the learning process—from developing and refining questions, to strategizing data collection, to analysis, to delivering actionable insights. This work spans short-term special projects and initiatives as well as long-term engagements like multi-year funds and portfolios. Eric brings extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and data visualization, and credits his training as a historian as foundational to his analytical work: it taught him the necessity of placing information in context.
He sees learning and evaluation as fundamentally about the power of information—the feedback loop of setting goals, gathering data, and acting on it that drives positive change for partners and the communities they serve. He also project manages and mentors across the team, which he finds equally rewarding.
Outside of work, Eric is a lover of many things, which in no particular order include reading, sports, pets (his and yours), yoga, travel, small independent movie theaters, coffee, and cooking.

What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead. What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.
