LINDSAY GREEN-BARBER, PHD
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Lindsay founded Impact Architects because she couldn’t find what I was looking for professionally: A place to bring together rigorous research, connection across sectors, and a commitment to social change. Over the past twenty years, Lindsay has served as a bridge from academia to philanthropy to practice, and Impact Architects is the product of this way of being.
Lindsay is committed to putting the IA team’s collective experience, brainpower, and skills to work to not only create valuable knowledge, but to make this information actionable and accessible to those who would benefit from it most.
In addition to leading high-impact strategy and research projects at IA, Lindsay is a skilled facilitator and enjoys catalyzing conversations, sparking connection across difference, and moving groups toward action.
In high school, she dreamed of being an architect, designing, beautiful, functional spaces unlike things people had imagined before. Lindsay continues to be inspired by art, design, and architecture and, after a recent move to Boulder, CO, took up pottery at a local nonprofit where she is finding deep pleasure in creating things with her hands and not only with her mind.

ERIC GARCIA MCKINLEY, PHD
DIRECTOR, LEARNING & EVALUATION
As Director of Learning and Evaluation, Eric supports partners at every step of the learning process, from developing and refining questions, to strategizing data collection, to data analysis, and, finally, to providing actionable insights. This work entails short-term engagements, such as special projects or initiatives, as well as long-term activities, such as multi-year funds and portfolios. Eric brings extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and data visualization. Eric credits his training as a historian as foundational for his analytical skills, as it showed him the necessity of placing information in context.
Eric is drawn to learning and evaluation work because it's about the power of information. He believes that the information feedback loop of goal setting, gathering information, and using it leads to positive change for Impact Architects' partners and the communities they serve.
At Impact Architects, Eric enjoys collaborating with others on the team because it allows everyone to combine their unique skill sets to support Impact Architects' partners in accomplishing their goals. He also provides mentorship while project managing, which he finds equally rewarding.
Outside of work, Eric is a lover of many things, which in no particular order include reading, sports, pets (his and yours), yoga, travel, small independent movie theaters, coffee, and cooking.
